As a Content/News Reporter Intern, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team’s journalistic efforts by researching, reporting, and writing news articles and feature stories across a range of topics. This internship will provide you with hands-on experience in the fast-paced world of digital news and content creation.
Responsibilities:
Research and identify newsworthy stories and emerging trends within your assigned beat or subject area
Conduct interviews and gather information from a variety of sources, including subject matter experts, public records, and primary research
Write clear, concise, and engaging news articles, feature stories, and other content for publication on our website and social media platforms
Fact-check information and verify the accuracy of sources and data to ensure the integrity of our reporting
Collaborate with the editorial team to brainstorm story ideas and pitch new content opportunities
Assist with the production and distribution of content, including optimizing articles for search and social media
Stay up-to-date with the latest news, trends, and developments within your coverage area
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a bachelor’s degree program in Journalism, Communications, English, or a related field
Excellent writing and reporting skills, with the ability to craft compelling, well-researched articles
Strong research and fact-checking abilities, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
Familiarity with the principles of journalistic ethics and best practices
Experience in creating content for digital platforms, including an understanding of SEO and social media optimization (We will teach you on the Job)
Passion for news, current events, and the evolving digital media landscape
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in using digital research tools, content management systems, and social media platforms
