In recognition of his astute contributions to societal growth, he has earned both national and international awards not limited to Media Personality Award from the Cross River State government, Best Journalist Award from Citizen Nigeria, Most Rugged Journalist Award from University of Calabar.

Others are Cultural Media Ambassador Award from Calabar Heritage Group, Humanitarian Award, Award of Excellence from pponline Communication among others.

On marital stratification, Alhaji Rasheed Olanrewaju Zubair is happily married to scintillating Zainab Olarenwaju with promising children to grease their home.

Currently, he serves as Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Hon. Dr. Betta Edu, Minister for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation.

As Special Adviser to the Minister, he has brought to bear his wealth of knowledge in setting media agenda by spotlighting activities of the people-centric Ministry across the globe.
