Playwrights like gods with poetic licence, creates imaginary characters, with imaginary names on imaginary situations depicting themes that are both informative, educative and entertaining.

In Cross River State, humanity will again be thrilled with spectacular theatrical expressivities from Awade Jacob Awade, aka Awade of Lagos in fulfillment of his 120 hours single acting marathon to set a Guinness World Record.

Awade of Lagos on like other World Guinness Record is utilizing the instrumentality of Theatre to sooth troubled hearts across the globe and restore dignity to Theatre as Art Form.

Thus far, over 40 Play-text have been consulted, dissected and comprehended by the lead character with supervision from his experienced crew members.

This event slated from 28 March, 2025 is a platform were creativity and preparations meets opportunity with success becoming inevitable.

The occasion is a sober reflections on the therapeutic values of Theatre in ameliorating unhealthy concerns as traceable to the traditional African society.

The envisaged Theatre marathon seeks to promote the aesthetics of diction in furtherance of literary appreciation.

Meanwhile, Awade Jacob Awade, a seasoned Thespian is a graduate of Theatre and Media Studies, University of Calabar with major in Directing and a penchant for traditional African aesthetics.

As an undergraduate, the now famous Awade of Lagos participated in numerous productions as both cast and crew member.

In each of these engagements, he left indelible prints as a creative par excellent with facts speaking for themselves.

As days draws nearer the event, expectations are high on value adding propensity of the marathon.

While the actions will satirize the society, it is also a poignant reminder of the urgency for attitudinal change.

Expectedly, the Theatre-thon shall be a festival of bountiful harvest in terms of message communication.

A successful hosting of this Theatre-thon in the ancient city of Calabar highlights the spirit of enterprise and hospitality Calabar represents.

More so, this outing shall give a voice to the many tourism potentials which abound in the state as Awade of Lagos again brings Calabar to the global map with his theatrical efficiencies.

This pedagogically suasion is predicated on the oceans of endorsements which greeted this official attempt.
