Akwa-Ibom State Governor Umo Eno To Host Arise Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme (AESS)

Akwa-Ibom State Governor, His Excellency, Pastor Umo Eno,PhD, will be hosting the very anticipated Arise Entrepreneurial Equipment Support Scheme (AESS) on Tuesday, March 11, 2025 at the Uyo Township Stadium, by 2:00 PM.

This is in line with his administration’s commitment to economic empowerment and entrepreneurship development.

This was revealed in a statement signed and released by the Commissioner For Information, Rt.Hon. Aniekan Umanah.

The statement added that Governor Umo Eno will further extend assistance through:
2,000 MSMEs Equipment Support, 77 Brand New Mini Buses and 31 Brand New Vehicles.

This event comes amidst the Governor’s recent empowerment initiatives at the Abak Federal Constituency Town Hall Meeting that held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, where 178 farmers received N111 million in grants, 442 traders were supported with N176 million, Six MSMEs benefited from N30 million and 198 craftsmen were provided with equipment support.

Highlight of the event will be the presentation of special awards, like:
Academic Excellence Award to the Best Student in the 2023 WASSCE (8 A1s out of 9 subjects taken), Academic Excellence Award to the Best MBBS Student, University of Uyo
(2025), (10 Distinctions out of 11 Courses taken) and
Exceptional Grit Award and future Leaders Award.

The Government is hereby inviting stakeholders, business owners, entrepreneurs and all citizens to join in this landmark event as the government continues to foster economic growth and support for small businesses across the state.
