According to reports, a significant number of terrorists affiliatedwith Boko Haram have allegedly perished as a result of the floods that struck Borno State on Tuesday, September 10.

Security sources claim that the Alau Dam disaster, which seized control of the Sambisa Forest, the terrorists’ stronghold in the area, was the reason for the flood.

It is also thought that several family members perished when their homes were destroyed by the water, including scores of women and children connected to the terrorists.

The Sambisa Forest was overflowed on Monday at approximately two in the morning, according to the Daily Trust report, which also said that many of the terrorists were asleep when this happened.

According to one account, the group’s severe losses were caused by Sambisa Forest’s marshy terrain, which resulted from the River Yedzaram overflowing and flooding Dollarland.

Following the tragedy, it was reported that the members of the surviving group had buried more than 100 victims

The informant disclosed, “The insurgents were hit hard by the devastation; they’ve buried over 100 corpses.”
