Northern Senatorial District United For Prince Bassey Edet Otu-Odama

The Northern Senatorial District of Cross River State has passed a vote of confidence on Cross River State Governor, Prince Bassey Edet Otu and Deputy, RT. Hon. Peter Odey with profound endorsements of their second term ambition come 2027 in view of the duo outstanding performance anchored on people’s ‘first’ mantra.

Speaking with Newsmen at a dinner organized by the Northern Cross River Coalition (NORTHCCO) in honour of the governor and deputy, Hon. Egbung Odama, Vice Chairman, Bekwara Local Government Area, noted that from the hills of Obanliku to the Plaines of Obudu, Ogoja, Yala and Bekwara, this current administration has brought to bear significant strides in fostering socioeconomic and political transformation, worthy of commendation.

Hon. Odama added that from the facelift in the famous Obudu cattle ranch to continuation of Obudu passengers and Cargo International Airport, roads constructions in Ogoja, Bekwara and Yala, the initiatives has attracted positive vibrations to rural dwellers necessitating these uproar of endorsements. In his context 

“Northern Senatorial District has always been ready in support for government of the day. 

The Northern District is bonded and united for a common force, which is the coalition that is supporting the government of His Excellency, Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu for his developmental projects, humanitarian services and his political ideologies anchored on people’s ‘first’ mantra.

“From the hills of Obanliku, the ranch is having a new face, the Obudu passengers and Cargo International Airport inherited from his predecessor is on course.

Ogoja, the political hub of Northern Cross River is witnessing infrastructural upgrades from road dualizations to solar lighting, medical supplies but a few.

“Yala is witnessing avalanche of road construction and empowerments for farmers to boost food productivity and availability.

Bekwara is equally enjoying massive human capital developments like other LGAs in this demography.

“The deputy Governor, RT. Hon. Peter Odey is been supportive of the Governor thereby attracting this array of growth to the region.

“Importantly is the fact that Northern Senatorial District has spoken in one voice for the current administration in the state and federal level.

We are united for the interest of Cross River State, the government of Prince Bassey Edet Otu and Sen. Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the federal.” Odama added.

It will be recalled that 23 April, 2025 was a mecca of sort at Hoggis Hotel Calabar as creme-de-la-creme of Northern politicians assembled in solidarity of the governor who has performed credibly well in shaping the state political trajectory.

The venue was filled to brim with both Lawmaker’s, traditional rulers, academia, opinion leaders, youth leaders, media personalities, entertainers among other progressives who threw their weight in support of the sweetening sensations permeating the state courtesy of Prince Otu’s intentional measures to change the narrative.

From High Chief Peter Higgins, Leader NORTHCCO, RT. Hon. Legor Edabor Chairman, NORTHCCO Central Planning Committee, Dr. Martins Orim, High Chief Peter Ojie among other dignitaries who shared their thoughts, their thematic message centered on sustaining developmental ideologies of Sen.
