Tems clears Air on Pregnancy Rumors

Nigerian singer Temilade Openiyi, widely known as Tems, has addressed persistent rumors about her being pregnant with American rapper Future’s child

The gossip first exploded after Tems made a striking appearance at Burberry’s Spring/Summer 2024 show during London Fashion Week last December. Her black dress, paired with a bold purple fluffy coat and matching heels, had people speculating that her body shape hinted at a baby bump.

Tems expressed confusion about the rumors, questioning why Future, of all people, became the target of such gossip. She found it puzzling that, out of all her high-profile collaborations, Future’s name was thrown into the mix. Tems wondered why those fueling the rumors didn’t point fingers at other artists she has worked with, such as Wizkid or Drake.

“People just take the most controversial things. Because I was thinking, why am I pregnant for the future? Why Future? Because that’s the craziest,” Tems said during an appearance on ‘The Breakfast Club.’

Tems suggested that Future was targeted in the rumors because of his reputation as a “ladies’ man” and the fact that he has about five children. She implied that if the rumors had been about her being pregnant with Drake’s child, it would have been the same thing, but it is Future because of his reputation.
